Day Trip by Varietal

The Best of Zinfandel

              Total Trai Miles: 13.4

(Approximately 4.0 hours / Three Wineries)

Morgan-Twain Peterson carries on his family's Zinfandel tradition by reclaiming and developing some of California's oldest and unique vineyard sites. The results are nothing short of spectacular and why Bedrock is the first visit along this best of Zinfandel day trip. Next and equally impressive are the wines at Jeff Cohn a short walk away off the square. Cohn has assembled an impressive collection of single vineyard options that are elegant and simply delicious. Continue north up valley until until you reach St. Anne's Crossing in Kenwood. Make note of Hood Mountain to the east while tasting through fifteen single vineyard options from Sonoma County. St. Francis offers a beautiful tasting room, old vine, single vineyard and reserve Zinfandel options if you're looking for a fourth visit.
