Day Trip by Appellation

Sonoma to Napa Valley

              Total Trail Miles: 26.8

(Approximately 4.0 hours / Three Wineries)

This is an aggressive trail that leads you from Sonoma to Napa Valley over the rugged Mayacamas range. Yes, the road is filled with twists and turns but you'll be rewarded with the pleasures of wine country beauty and deliciously complex mountain fruit. Start your day tasting Landmark's critically acclaimed Chardonnay and Pinot Noir while enjoying the view of Mount Hood before ascending the Mayacamas to Pride Mountain Vineyards. The Pride estate straddles both valleys and produces wine from fruit of each AVA. Finish at the bottom of Spring Mountain in Napa Valley at a winery of the same name. Spring Mountain Vineyards offers colorful gardens, Victorian architecture and expressive Bordeaux varietal wine from the fruit of their hillside estate.
