Napa Valley Introduction | Day Four

The Mountains North

             Total Trail Miles: 23.2

(Approximately 4.0 hours / Three wineries)

Now that you've had a taste of mountain fruit, let's stay elevated. Spring and Howell Mountain lie at the northern end of the Valley and are recognized world wide for complex, age-able wine. Start the day at Pride Mountain where you'll find views, caves and beautifully crafted wine from the fruit of Napa and Sonoma Valley. Wind your way down the grade until you reach the entrance to Keenan. This classic mountain winery is deeply embedded within the hillside and feels miles removed. Make note of their Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Continue down to and across the valley floor until you reach Howell Mountain Road. Ascend the grade to Viader and prepare to experience everything we love about the wine country. No words needed, we'd rather you experience it yourself.
